Discovery to Delivery: Rethinking Resource Sharing Friday, June 28, 2013 a preconference to the ALA Annual Conference in Chicago

Anya Arnold, Orbis Cascade Alliance, will deliver the keynote address on the latest trends in discovery to delivery. The program includes three panels on the topics: State of the art in discovery; Costs and innovation for ILL and eBooks; and Innovations and trends in physical delivery.

This event will bring together discussions of the critical components of resource sharing in the academic and public library environments, including innovations in discovery and ILSs as well as trends in both physical and virtual delivery of library materials to users. Attendees will learn about the latest resource sharing theories, the finances of ILL and ebooks and the latest trends in physical delivery to provide more, faster access to patrons most efficiently.

This resource sharing preconference jointly presented by ASCLA’s Physical Delivery Interest Group and RUSA’s Rethinking Resource Sharing Steering Committee.
